Step 6. Next window will show how you prepared to install Ubuntu. Ignore this window click ‘ Continue ‘ it doesn’t matter because we are going right way.

Step 7. Next will show you Installation type window, there are mainly three options…

Install Ubuntu alongside Window:- If you already have a window installed in your system then its name is showing there. This option asking you to install Ubuntu with your existing window. It will automatically create Ubuntu partition on your hardisk. If you want dual boot Ubuntu without losing old one then go for this option.

Replace Window with Ubuntu:- If you want to lose old Window and replace it with Ubuntu then select this option. It will automatically create Ubuntu partition on your hardisk.

Something else:- This option is for advanced users. If you want to create Ubuntu partition manually with or without window then you can select this option.

Note: If your system has not any installed window or any other Operating system then then above two options can be different but creating the partition automatically it doesn’t changed. I will suggest you go for ‘ something else ‘ in any scenario.

Step 8. If you select ‘something else’ in previous step then you will on this window of partition table else if you not then skip this step.
